Manchester United Thread

Post by Hodgieoreoh on Sun Mar 01, 2009 6:47 pm

We had joy, we had fun
We had Man U on the run
But the joy didn't last
'Cos the bastards ran too fast!

...That is all.

I did support Sheffield United, then realised the 'United' bit was in 'Manchester United' too, but because they win everything, I thought I'd support them.

Poor decision by the ref, no way did Fletcher deserve the red, or any foal called against him at all, it was a brilliant tackle. :/

Yeah, Im totally with you there Miek, it was a fair tackle, even looking from the refs point of of view. The worst part is that he won't get to play in the final, not only is that bad for Man U, but pretty shit on the player more importantly I feel. The rules on appeals should be changed.

From the refs point of view I reckon it would of looked like a penalty and sending off but he should of maybe consulted the linesman or atleast have the C.League appeal rules changed. Not bothered about Man U missing him, just gutted for him to miss the final.

Yeah as the commentators he's played quite a lot of the matches in Europe this season so with him missing the final you got to feel sorry for him. Also the refs view is hard to see the challenge but you can still see the change of path in the ball
