Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD REMIX League/Tournament

Okay. I want to get this ready in hype for SF4. Also enables practice. So,

All you do is play someone. No character restrictions, Best out of 5 rounds. 1 point for each round won. Meaning the winner will come out with 3 points, but the loser could get anything from 1-3 points. At the end of the league, the winner is the one with most points. If there is a draw, it comes down to the number of matches won.

Any questions?

If not, go.

Anyone else want to join? Just say and you'll be added to the table. If you no longer wish to play, just say and you will be removed. Will be sending people PMs to remind also.

Post in the thread with the results and I'll update the table.

I definatly be up for this, I think a league is better just cos its more flexable and everyone gets to play each other.

Can we lay down some rules?

I heard we can use any character we want, not consticted to one character and it should be best of 5 rounds with best of 3 matches.

How would scoring be done? That's obviously really important. We could do 3 for a win and 1 for a loss. And Best of 5 rounds in best of 5 matches sounds good.

I do not agree we should only have one character.

If it's a show of skill, we should have to change characters. If you just go Ryu and spam someone into a corner, then that ain't skill.

Also, if people are frequently reported of spamming, I'm gonna disqualify. By which I don't mean repeatedly using Hadouken. I mean forcing people into a corner and not letting them play properly.

I think it'd be easier if it was just 1 point for a rule, and 3 matches is easier, the idea of 5 matches seems a bit long tbh.

I think its a bit unfair to ban people for this, its hard to prove unless there is a judge, its part of the game and you can get out of those situations if you know what to do. And character changes should definatly be there, for the reason you gave.

That's stupid. It's not hard to fight your way out of a corner, and the whole point is to stop your opponent from moving by either attacking forwards and pushing them back or doing an upwards move to stop them getting around you. So if they can get you stuck in a corner, it's good play from them.

Tbh, I'd appreciate if you played fair. But if you looked, the only rules are about the scoring and number of rounds. I'm not gonna preach about tourney rules cause I don't know, but it just plain ain't fun someone spams.
