Hey peoples,
Street Fighter IV is out in 6 days here in Europe, so I was wondering first how many people are buying it for release, and second how many of those would be interested in a tournament?

I think we should give it a week or so before we arrange any sort of tournaments tbh....

Yeah, I know. It'd be dumb having a tournament as soon as it released because it's a completely different game. Just want to see who's interested.

Maybe it'd be a good idea to start a thread on ONM to see if there are more people over there to play. Tournaments don't seem to have much force on here >.<

I don't think there's ever been a successful tournament on ONM apart from the Pokemon ones, because in off topic it gets overwhelmed by amazing threads like "What did your nan have for dinner tonight?" or "do u fancy docter who? ^_^"

I'd be interested, but just some thoughts.
1. maybe a league instead of a tournament. The SF2 league seems to be working fine and most people expressed that a league worked better since in a tournament you only really get 1 chance, which for the noobs is pretty crap. While some might disagree, I'm sure I'm not the only one when I say I'd be playing for fun mainly, and I wouldn't find being beaten in the first round and then being kicked out very fun. >_>'
2. Maybe wait for the SF2 leage to finish off first? It'll give more people chance to get the game and have some practise with it.

Yeah, you're right. League might be better considering numbers. Sounds like a good plan to me :)
