The iPod Touch

Yeah just seen the advert and I was on here so I decided to make a topic out of it.

Does anyone think this will work? Or will it just sink and fail cause iPods are music not games.

Tbh, I don't think it looks that bad, mainly cause the DS is in a dry spell and the PSP isn't known for it's must own games.

So anyone got one? Anyone thinking of getting one? Etc.

Well I have a iPhone (disappointingly) and I just don't think they work it's just too much of a pain playing games, apart from the inredibly simple ones.

I have an iPod touch. Its good shit, thing is its only 8gb so I treat it as more of a shuffle.

Games aren't to bad, especially free ones such as jelly car.

It wasn't an XNA studio game, it was a community game.

Hopefully it'll be released as a community game on the NXE but I can't see it atm.

I don't know if I should get that or the iPod classic. I can't decide if I want features or more memory. D:

Im getting it preowned 16gb for christmas. Im not to bothered by the lack of games due to its awesome video capabilitys

I have a 2GB, 2nd Gen Nano, and I'm fine with it.

Nice to see a shitload of new features, though.

The 2G Ipod Touch is the fastest of the Iphone/touch family. If you want to play games then I recommend it highly - purely because over the nexty year the "I" family of gaming is set to expand rapidly.

It was such a massive design flaw it's ridiculous.

Ipot Touch is pretty useless for me, ive got about 40gb of music on iTunes, and about 30 cds ive still to rip.

I'm actually really enjoying my iphone for gaming, so much so i don't bother taking my PSP/DS anywhere with me now and given the fact most the games are free it makes it even better.

Tap Tap Revenge = Epic Win.

Needs more songs though (Download some, most seems like crap touch imo.)

My brother got one of these just after Christmas. They do look pretty cool but with recently getting a 3rd Gen 4GB nano, there would be no point in me buying one of these. I'll just wait for the inevitable remake of it

I wouldn't get a touch just yet - if only because Apple release new versions around Juneish time and these usually push the price of the older generation down.

TAP TAP REVENGE 2 IS HERE!



Just saw this yesterday. The actual game and all the songs are free still. The new look is awesome, much better Revenge 1. Apprently there is a few bugs, I've only encoutered 1 so far which is when it returned me to the menu when I started a song, retryed the song and it worked fine. Hopefully they'll iron them out soon. It's also alot harder and includes 'multi-tap' which is pressing two notes at the same time and 'long-taps' which are ones you have to hold down (and in some songs play some notes while holding it down).

I want to get one of these soon now. But it'll take a while for me to get the money.

I deep down hatred of both iPod's and iTunes make me not want this.

I'll stick with my DS. Play games, music, videos and surfs the web all in one machine. I mainly use it to read my Star Wars books though.
