Achievement Challenge - PGR4

Post by Inofa on Sun Dec 07, 2008 1:29 am

Platinum Plus
Get all the platinum medals in the
Platinum Plus Challenge

Now if you don't mind me saying, this achievement is a fucking son of a mother fucking bitch. And I just thought, since I feel up to trying for it, why not see if anyone else wants to have a go and we can see who can get it first.

Oh and if you didn't realise, you need the PGR4 premium DLC worth 400 microsoft points for this one. So if you don't have it and want to take part, buy it. It's only 400 points...

Moderators can lock this is they think it's a stupid idea... I just thought I'd get a bit of a community effort into this, seeing as it's an arse to try and fucking obtain.

So, good luck, because you're gonna fucking need it with this one.

Or people could continue heading for the Seriously 2.0 achievement.

Decisions. Decisions.

Well that's their choice then, isn't it?

I think that doing something EXTREMELY difficult is much more of a bragging opportunity than repeating the final chapter of Gears 2 a huge number of times...

I never said the idea was bad?

I merely said that at the moment - trying to setup a challenge is abit silly given that most people will have new games they want to play. Why would someone whos just gotten Gears 2 want to stop playing that to go and whore a game they could of done in the previous 12 months? It's one of the reasons the GoW2 tourney nosedived and while I believe its commendable to suggest something like this - I don't think now is a good time to be pushing this type of thing.

Gears 2 came out a month ago, so it's hardly new...

It is new but there is more than one game coming out at any one time.

Anyway, I just pointing out something slightly important regarding an issue you might come up against.

So I heard getting all gold challenges on Portal was hard, plus a lot of people have OB and dos'nt have DLC.

I remember trying for this months ago. Pro tip: manual transmission is your friend. With perhaps the exception being the Superstar event, I swear it's nigh-on impossible to complete the other challenges using automatic. I've only managed to do the speed challenge on the bike so far, btw. All the other challenges still butt-rape me. D:

I've only gotten close to completing 3 of them. The first street race, superstar and the timed run. Missed them all RIGHT at the end ¬_¬
