I prefer 1st. In oblivion the only time I liked playing 3rd is when I was on my horse.

Ths game is so fucking good. I wish some people would at least give it a chance. I DONK at how short Fsble was, to those who bought it over this. I bet anyone who plays it up until the first town you get to will love it.

LOL
Yeah, I'm a tiny bit further than that. Been doing a massive side quest that took a few hours first, though. Watching MOTD now but will be back on Fallout til the early hours afterwards.

Survival Guide for the shopkeeper in Megaton. Took fucking ages but I got an achievement at the end, which was nice. I wasn't even expecting it.
I made the Rock-It Launcher as well. The thing that shoots junk, stuff and shit. It's good.
Plus I put a live Pulse Grenade in a Super Mutant's pocket. I thought it was gonna do nothing as it was a Pulse Grenade, but it raped that fucker to oblivion.

Picked up this game on release and am loving the pure secks out of it.
I'm taking my time doing anything and everything I want, but trying to be a good guy by saving megaton and not doing naughty things
Still won't stop me from pickpocketing someone and putting a grenade on them >__>

Re: Fallout 3
Nope, but you can kill/pickpocket people to steal their keys and use their houses. :3
There are two "big cities", megaton and rivet city which have lots of houses, but in general the scale is rather disappointing.
LOADS of shit barren wasteland (as you would expect) and small settlements, but not enough large settlements, i.e. cities. =/
You'll also find random beds which you can sleep in.

Two cities....I know they couldnt be unrealistic but Oblivion sounds much better currently. Having many towns and one city is a much better idea.

Re: Fallout 3
Lets not forget the setting. 200 years after nuclear fallout. It's hardly going to be a bustling metropolis out there, and I actually finished the game now. Oblivion struggles to hold my atention.
Re: Fallout 3
S'alright, I suppose. Fucking Terminal bullshit is annoying, though. I'd take BioShock's hacking mehtod over Fallout 3's anyday. =/ Still hasn't really clicked with me yet; in Megaton and looking at teh quests section on my Pip-Boy would suggest I've taken on a bit more than I can handle - it's all a tad overwhelming, if I'm honest, at the moment. Dunno whether to go off and do some side-quests or carry on with the main.

And you'll get the hang of hacking. Me and Firthsk used to hate it but it's pretty fun and easy once you get used to it. And if you've had 3 guesses, just leave the terminal then enter it again, and it'll reset the password and your guesses will go back up to four. And the side quests are awesome and long. And I advise getting ammo. You'll run out pretty quick at the start if you're too trigger happy.

I need to get back into this again - was really enjoying up until I got to that side-quest called Those! Goddamn ants, glad I've finished that now; total pain in the arse to get through that was (I had, like, zero ammo at the end of it).

I only just did that mission Bob, after completing the game and loading a previous save. Just goes to show how awesomely free-roam this is and what freedom you have to complete / leave missions. If you really struggle with any more I suggest you leave them till later. I don't think there are any that are time-specific, and I don't think I'd have coped with 'Those!' at your level without a companion.

Re: Fallout 3
I'd go back to Fallout3. If only it wasn't the most visually depressing game of all time. :G
Might as well play it in black and white...
People praise the scope of the game, yet all they've done is create a squared kilometer of the world and replicate it several times - adding in a few buildings here and there.
It's as if they've taken Oblivion, and painted it GREY!
Don't get me wrong, Fallout was brilliant for the first 10/15 hours. But after that it gets boring and monotonous - for me anyway.
I'll get back to it later, probably. Maybe some of the side quests will change my mind.

I know what you mean. Like, why there hell isn't there lush greens, bright blues and vivid reds in a post-apocalyptic world? Rediculous, really.

Re: Fallout 3
It's the same thing with Gears. ...They added a LOT of colour to the sequel, yet that didn't affect the "mood" or setting.
Just because it's in a post-apocalypse time doesn't mean the sky has to be BLACK all the time. It's fucking stupid, bland, and boring.
They could of added some neon lights in Rivet City - there's still neon after a nuclear war, right? ..Instead it's just the same tunnels over, and over... and over..

I got this yesterday on the PC for £20 from GAME. I've just talked to the guy concerning information on my dad, and I've done "The Power of the Atom" as well. Gonna play it some more later, Im hoping to get 1000 from this.

It's gonnah be tough. Just don't drink any Quantum NukaCola's, there's a side-quest for collecting 30 of 'em so I've already failed. ><
I'll end up with 800-odd, but won't be bothered getting 1000
