Bought the game yesterday morning and have already had some awesome matches online.
Been playing through the campaign, started on veteran which was a bit of a mistake. I finally finished "Burn 'em out" (Chris - Burnout. OLOL.) ...The last bunker had me raging with anger. I was eff'in 'nd blindin' for the 30 odd retries it took to get it right.

My reaction was.. well.. Lets just say, "over-the-top" XD

I agree with the second chance perk. Me and my cousin just had a few good games of TDM by healing each other. Got high scores too. Managed to get a 16 kill streak with his help - I got downed twice. D:
27 - 2 at the end.

Great game... Still need to get COD4 for compare n'd that.

I was like that a few times. Then they kept on sending more bastard Japs at me in which case It was more of a "FUCK I'M GETTING SHOT TO SHIT." before the "Fucking Hell Yes"

God I hated that level.

I'm stuck on that level right now.. I think...

Veteran is a COMPLETE bitch on COD... always has been.

Is that the one you get an achievement for only using the Flamethrower? I did it on normal to get that achivement. Actually did my head in.

Haven't got to it on Veteran yet though.

Its pretty much the hardest mission in veteran until you reach the last 3 or so ones, which I still haven't been able to beat...

CoD 4 veteran was actually fun IMO. Is this much harder or what?

I found it a bit harder than CoD4's Veteran. The last 4 or so levels took me a few hours each, really hard stuff.

LOL!!

...Is it wrong that I prefer COD5 to COD4? The campaign was much better, more involving, less monotonous and harder (grenade spam took the piss). Online - co-op is fantastic, earning challenges in co-op is also a great idea, Nazi zombies is great fun but needs more maps, and the multiplayer is more balanced (spawn points are shite though.) ...At least everyone doesn't snipe/noobtube, due to the 'nade launcher being put on a shit weapon, what a genius decision.

Maybe it's because I played COD5 before COD4, as it could of been different if I had played Modern Warfare prior to World At War. That and I've only played COD4 for 50mins online.

Meh, neither are fantastic games. Great, but not as good as the likes of Tears, Mass Errect and Gaylo.

That mission took the PISS. I was screaming down the mic. at Chris while doing that one.

Probably the hardest Veteran mission.

Bought the new maps earlier, and surprisingly (cause I generally don't like WaW's online) I think they're great. Knee Deep and Nightfire in particular are really good and diverse, while Station's decent. The former 2 are better than any of the maps that come on the disc though IMO.

New Zombie map is win too, love the new perk machines and it just feels like a new experience. Smile

has anyone finished this on Veteran? I'm at the bit where you have to take out the four flak cannons, any tips before I pull all my hair out. I'm determined not to give up after coming this far >_<

That bit was probably the hardest part and took me about 3 hours. I just worked out a strategy of moving through slowly first and taking out enemies after the first cannon, and then (at the same time as hip firing) ran into the building on the middle and went from there. A lot of it's about luck, though.

Ohhhh! That bit....

Fuck. That's hard. I just tried to kill of some guys to the right and run into the building without dying - then from there just hoped for a checkpoint beofre moving on.
