Archaic means old fashioned. Quaint. Antiquated. I was commenting on how your seeming opinion that because the trailer contained no gameplay footage or action shots, that it was crap. A trailer can push the boundaries and hype a game without the need for such footage. This trailer is a perfect example of that. All you seemed to care about was a couple of digits at the end revealing the release date. Instead of enjoying the ride, you seem to want to rush through to the end of the journey, the game's release.

Or maybe I'm reading into this too much. You tell me.

Frankly your talking bullshit, the reason the trailer was crap was because it consisted of a green line which flickered and some muffled voices, then some explosions at the end. Yes it was a teaser, but a shit one at that, Gears of War 2 is a perfect example of a good teaser trailer, you could actually hear what people were saying for one, it gave some sort of impression to new features in the game whilst giving the idea that there would be a back story, sufficiently hyping people for the final game. This did not.

And seriously if people had the choice of 'hyping' the game up or getting it now, Im sure people would want it now.

Srsly, go watch it on the website with the analysis stuff.. It shows the new perks and stuff. I don't see why people are getting so arsey about it, seeing as we're obv gonna get more trailers before the release..

Sorry that regular trailers arent niche enough for you Slazo, frankly Id prefer a trailer that actually gets me excited for a game rather than a green line. No this trailer does break any boundaries, thats utter bullshit, are you trying to claim that we should admire the art direction of trailers? Again a good teaser is Gears 2, one where you are lead on to the possibility of a backstory whilst demonstrating one of the new features contained in the game. This is not a good example of a teaser, even if you could hear the voices I still wouldnt be impressed, the disorted images of actual warfare was garbage. At the end of the day Id rather have a decent railer over some pretenious pile of shit where niche people like you can admire on internet for it's art direction and abilty to apperently 'hype' the game, which for most people it fails in it's purpose.

Trailer was pretty good, even though it didn't show an awful lot. All the same this is easily my most wanted game for the forseeable future, I can't wait to play it online - CoD4's my most played online game by miles and WaW can't come close to it IMO.

I'm hoping for a slightly longer, equally fantastic campaign, and the same general online multiplayer with new perks, weapons, mostly new maps with some of the best CoD4 ones thrown in like Crash, Pipeline, Strike etc.

First ever CoD game I'm getting and I'm only really getting it as EVERYONE will be playing it. I rarely play with any of my IRL mates due to the fact they only play CoD.

As for the teaser. Only really told us a date, a pretty naff one tbh. Will be enough to get the die-hard fans happy though.

Apparently it shows us 5 new perk pictures and Rio De Janiro. According to xbox360fanboy anyway.
